Geraldina Arredondo

Hello everyone and Welcome to our webpage,

I first would like to say to our students that we miss you and we are here for you.  We left for Spring Break with optimism that we would be back in a week.  Since then we have learned that our school will be closed till April 3rd due to the wide spread of COVID-19 in our community.  This decision, although difficult to make, was made for the safety of all students and staff.    With this new reality, we (your teachers and I) have had to find unique methods to deliver instruction, assuring you that instruction is not contained to the walls of our schools.  Therefore, all teachers have created an Instructional Continuity plan that will be in effect until we are able to return to campus.  Teachers will be contacting you and/or your parents to explain the their plan.  Students taking Dual Classes will continue using Laredo College’s Online System, CANVAS, as the method to receive instruction and for delivery of assignments.

To the Parents of our students,

I would like to thank you.  I know this is also a new world for you and you are trying your best to keep up with the expectations from our district.  I want you to know that you are not alone.  Please do not hesitate to contact any of your child’s teachers or myself through email (garredondo@laredoisd.org) if you have any questions or concerns.  You can also log in to the LISD Webpage for updates on the Coronavirus and to get the LISD's distant learning instructional packets, if needed.

Together we can learn to adapt to this new way of learning.

Let’s take this time to reflect on our blessings---Be safe and take care.
