Welcome to Don Jose Gallego

Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students, As we turn the calendar to May, there is a distinct sense of accomplishment in the air. This month is always a whirlwind of activity, reflection, and celebration, and I want to take a moment to share some important updates and heartfelt gratitude. Celebrating Our Students First and foremost, I want to address the recent testing season. Now that the exams are behind us, I want to state clearly: we are incredibly proud of our students. Testing can be a stressful time, but our students approached their assessments with focus and resilience. While these scores provide one snapshot of academic progress, they do not define the character, creativity, or overall growth we’ve witnessed in your children this year. Regardless of the results, their hard work is what truly counts. 🙏Gratitude for an Amazing Year It is hard to believe the academic year is drawing to a close. This has been an extraordinary year of learning and community building. To our families: Thank you. Your partnership, volunteer hours, and constant support of our teachers have been the backbone of our success. We couldn't have done it without you. 📅Looking Ahead: May Events & Summer Updates We have a busy few weeks ahead of us as we finish strong: 🏆Awards Ceremonies: We will be hosting several ceremonies this month to recognize student achievements in academics, citizenship, and the arts. Please keep an eye on your email for specific dates and times for each grade level. 🌞Summer School Updates: For families interested in or requiring summer enrichment, we will be sending out detailed registration information and program schedules by the end of next week. 🎉Final Celebrations: Stay tuned for news regarding end-of-year classroom parties and field days! Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." — William Butler Yeats Thank you for allowing us to be part of your child’s journey this year. Let’s make this final month the best one yet! Warmly, Mrs. A. Almanza Principal
